About a mother winning sole custody

Four years ago I put my son in my in-laws' care until about a week ago. They would not let me see him, so I went to court to show that I had legal custody. They let him come home with me that day, and a week later they requested an emergency hearing to have my rights taken away. The judge brought up a misdemeanor charge I had a year ago. I have had my job for a year and my own home and car. My hearing for my defense is April 9th. What do you think the outcome will be?

I would say that your chances are good to get custody of your child or children. Your past should not used against you after a year of working and showing the court that you are now ready and able to care for the children. I am curious to hear how it all came out sinse this is now November.
