Legal/Financial Responsibility for a child.

A girl I was with for a short period is pregnant with my child. She has a history of drugs/alcohol. I told her I did not want to have this child or a family with her. She inisisted on having the baby. She is now 20 weeks pregnant, and extremely irresponsible about taking care of herself and a growing baby. I do not want to be with her or have a child with her. It is my understanding that I have no say whether or not she has the child and once the child is born I will be the father and will have obligations (financial, legal, etc.). Since we have not been married I do will not owe any support to her, but I understand that I will owe something for supporting the baby, even though I will have little or no say in its upbringing. What are my financial and legal obligations in this case? I live

If you are going to pay child support and you want this child in your life all you have to do is go to court. 1.request a paternity test(cant be done til the baby is born) 2. See a mediator through your local Courthouse to determine custody/visitation. 3. If you have proof of the drug use you can request full custody and supervised visitation.
