Tips on buying seafood.

I want to include more fish in my diet and I would love to start cooking with seafood. Is buying it from the supermarket ok? Or should I find a fish market? Are there certain days that are best to buy fish and how long is the food good for? Can seafood be frozen?

I usually buy groceries once a week. If that helps.

I've also heard to never buy fish on a Wed because the fish markets are closed so you will be eating day old fish :)

I heard that from a friend from Japan, I'm not sure if it's true in the states or not but I thought I'd throw it out there!
