I do not know if I am the only one, but my mom said that is an old wives tale, she grew up on a farm, & none of her dogs ever died, I have always given my dogs chicken bones, & have never had any die from it. I actually give them to my husband dumb mutt & say " die, you dumb mutt" but he doesn't. (I am joking when I say that. I am a dog lover.)
I do not know of anyones dog who died from it. People have said a friend of a friends dog did, but like all tales, it is always the friend of a friend.
