6 month old male, redness of foreskin

My 6 month old son has been circumsized since birth, 2 days ago he developed a redness around his penis , i clean him with every changing and have never had this problem before. It doesnt seem to bother him, but it does me. Could this be ballenitis? I am a urology nurse, but I have never seen this on an infant before. Please help!!!

As a nurse and a mom of twins and older boy...redness can come and go...what you need to watch for is potential yeast infection (redness and spreading into a larger area) as that area is exposed to moisture. Yeast can eventually cause open areas which can become painful. Keep an eye on it, more frequent diaper changes to keep the area dry. You can always double check with your doctor.
