You may want to talk to your doctor about Byetta, It works in several ways to help you get improved control of your blood sugar. You may want to look at Avandia as well, you can use both of these meds in conjuction with others to help Improve blood sugar and minimize side effects. Avandia can been given alone, or is availabel in a one pill combination with metformin (Avandamet) or with glimepiride (Avandaryl). Unfortunatly you will never be medication free, and with all drugs there are some side effects. Effectivly managing your blood sugar should be the first priority here. You need to discuss all these issues with your doctor, let him know what side effects you can and cannot cope with. He/she can give you options.

Recommended medication for diabettes 2
I have taken glucophage, actos, amaryl, all medicatoins have their side effects, but which diabettes medication has the least or is the most recommended. Fortunately, I seem to have no liver, heart or kidney problems. I wish to hear some opinions.
