You will need to get a criminal lawyer to defend him if there were any charges filed against him. Many criminal lawyers also practice civil law so I would suggest finding one that does both. A lawyer that does both will be able to defend and also see if you have a civil case. Depending on all the evidence and cirumstances you may be able to file a civil suit. My favorite site for finding a lawyer is www.findlaw.com You can search by your location and the type of lawyer you need (ie. criminal, civil, etc) They also have a lot of info you can read through that is very helpful.

I need to know what type of lawyer to contact
On 01/09/2008 my husband received a phone call to come down to my sons school,he was being arrested. My husband told them that it would be a while because I had the only vehicle and I was at work.They told him to pick up my son at the juvenile detention facility. My husband asked them what he was being picked up for they told him it was a warrant for failure to appear.Since my son had never commited a crime,we were extremely confused. It turns out my husband and I were to appear in court on a truancy case that they reopened from 2006.Apparently the county does this to check on children who have had issues in the past. A letter was supposedly mailed to my house,which I never received and instead of issuing a subpeona or a warrant for my husband or I they issued one for my son. My son had attendance issues in2006 due to surgery, since then there have been no problems. My whole family was traumatized that afternoon and I think that someone needs to pay. No amount of money will ever be able to make up for the fear or humiliation my son felt, or the tears his sister shed,however maybe they think twice before they issue a warrant for a minor who commited no crime
