White spots on the skin

My 6 year old son has white spots on his left shoulder and the left side of his neck. They look like little tiny blisters and he has had them for almost 4 months now. They dont get bigger and dont seem to be spreading, although I think he may have a few more than he did when I first noticed, but if so its only a handful more. He says that they do not itch, burn nor hurt. They dont look quite like pimples, more like little tiny blisters, like bubbles on the skin. Has anyone ever saw this or think they know what it is?? I have not taken him to the doc because as I said, they are not spreading and are not uncomfortable. Noone else in the family has ever had/gotten these... WHAT ARE THEY!??!

I actually had these myself several years ago on my hands. My doctor measured it and prescibed Bactroban thinking it was a type of bacterial infection, it came and went over a 18 month periode and then just went away, showing up again about a year later. After seeing a few specialist we discovered it was a rare reaction to a very specific type of rubber that is found in some of my equipment, and believe it or not is also used in making nylon, so I would just about bet your sons backpack for school is your culprit.
