You do not have to let nothing go!! what you aquired in your marriage rather it's in his name or not is "marital" property, both of yalls..but if i were you, id call a safe house like "samaratin house" or avalon or someone who can help you get out safely, have a safe place to stay until you can file for divorce and let the court decide who gets what..i hate that men trap women in life...i was trapped for 9yrs, and now my daughter is trapped...but i found a way out and so will she and so will you..now run for your life..with everyday you stay you risk more of your life..he sounds very unstable..hope you dont have kids, and if you do , you should get what you can out of the house when he is not there and go to a place that is safe...and get the proper authorities to help you stay safe ..

Domestic violence and need help asap
I have been married for almost 7 yeats to a verbally,finacially, and physically abusive man. I feel trapped an don't know where to turn. He used to be in law inforcement so he threatens me in every way possible.I need to know what my rights are. Everything we have is in his name including vehicles. He threatens to have me arrested for stealing a car if I take one and leave. I am a nurse and he threatens to call the boeard of nursing and make up lies to get my license pulled. He has been convicted of 2 counts of assault on me and currently has 2 pending DUI's for prescription med abuse(narcotics). I don't have any idea where to start or what to do. Please help me.
