It's definatly not a miracle pill, what it does is your body has a temperature threshold that you hit to start burning fat. This just has chemicals to reach that threshold sooner so you can get the most out of your workout, but it won't do anything if you aren't working out. It also gives you a tiny boost of energy, but not like efedra - unsafe as it was, that was more of a miracle pill.
A couple other easy weight loss tricks:
Always drink a glass of water before you eat
Never eat 2 hours before you go to bed
Learn about portion control - our portions in America at each meal are 2-3x what we should be eating.
