How can you tell if a baby has a sore throat?

My baby is really fussy and we've all been kinda under the whether. Do babies do anything to signal a sore throat?

I watch the tongue. They seem to move their tongue in and out more with a sore throat. Kinda like they are "licking/scratching" the roof of their mouth w/ it (I hope that makes sence). Also they will be fussier when they try to drink from a bottle - the sucking will irritate it. If she is crying you can try to look and see if her throat/mouth is red.
Warm apple juice is good if they do have a sore throat though, it sooths it. But always get to a doctor for a sore throat especially w/ a fever because strep is very dangerous for babies and young kids (actually for anybody).
