Constant and Severe Lower Left Abdominal Pain.

For the last 6-7 months I have been having fairly constant pain in my left lower abdomen. It's usually more of an uncomfortable pain that is achy and feels like a baseball is being pressed into my abdomen. However I do get periods that can last from a couple hours to a couple days of completely excruciating sharp and achy pain. I'm almost always nauseous but rarely vomit, as well, I have diarrhea from 1-5 times a week (usually more often than not). About a month ago I had a bm that was almost entirely blood. The doctor dismissed that as a fissure (which I'm not buying...) and I've been for many many an ultrasound. I did have one cyst in my right ovary however that is now gone and the pain is not. I also suffer from migraines however if that is related or not I'm not sure. I'm at a complete loss.

Can one go to an Emergency Room there? If the Doc's at the Walk-in's are say they don't deal with those "Big of a problem", this should say something...They are right, this is a significant set of symptoms that need to be evaluated...I have seen young individuals with diverticulitis...Even though statistically , the age catagory is around 40, however , the dyanamics of this illness can clearly affect someone your age....Crohns is another possibility that can be investigated...The big problem here is this problem has gone on far to long and you need to find out what it is.....I wish there were some way for you to get immediate attention..I would certainly try the ER if this is feasable...Good Luck to you and God Bless...PLEASE, keep us posted....
