Why do pregnant women drink alot of water and eat ice?

Why do i drink alot of water and eat ice while I'm pregnant?

That was what I was told too. That it is a sign of iron deficiency. I ate alot of ice while I was pregnant and after I had my baby they put me on iron. So I would talk to your doctor and have your iron checked.
