It was a good move, infact I was going to suggest you do that after I read that she says she loves you.... Sounds like she is playing games and you need to put a stop to it before it gets carried away.
Just give her her space and take some for yourself as well. If she calls you tell her that you think it be best if she didnt call you for a while and tell her that you also need time to think about what you want.
If you keep letting her run back and forth, she will never stop!
