Disabilty parking

I got to college for culinary arts and we have a restaurant. when the restaurant is open I am not allowed to park in the handicap area even though i am disabiled. It is only for the patrons who go to eat . I have talked to everyone at the school but they still say no to the parking. What can I do?

Handicap parking has to be available to anyone that has a handicap parking permit. If it is not available to you, then the school is in violation of the ADA. I understand that there is special parking areas for students when the restaraunt is open, but they still have to provide handicapped students adequate parking. If they don't have that in the designated student parking, they should allow you to park in the spots allotted for the restaraunt. If they don't then they are in violation of ADA. You might want to remind them of the ADA requirements.
