Lcd hdtv

Our LCD TV isn't working right. It takes about a half hour to hour to turn it on. We have been leaving it on and am worried this will make it worse. Is it okay to leave it on for long periods at a time until we can get it fixed? Also is there a free online manual to fix a LCD TV yourself? I've done some searching but can't find anything.

Warrenty was up in Jan - go figure. I think it would be cheaper to buy a new one, but we can't afford it right now. Thats why we are hoping to fix ourselves. When I let my hubby spend $900 on a tv I expected it to last a while - It was supposed to be a one time splurge. Now it's the only one we got and it rarely works. P*sses me off....
