Guitar Hero for Wii - Christmas present?

Would this make a good present for my heavy metal loving brother? Does anyone have this or a different version that can say if this is cool or not.

I've heard mixed reviews about Guitar Hero 3 with people being frustrated by it.

GH2 for PS2 might a better choice. Or go with the $160 Rock Band instead.
