After 30 years, with no income, it could be a sizable amount as she has no retirement savings of her own that she has paid into over the years.
and another thing to consider, is how long it lasts. is there a time period attached to it. does it expire if she remarries? is it for life regardless if she remarries.

How much to expect to pay in alimony
If a husband and wife has been married for 30+ years--no kids at home anymore and the wife has NEVER worked what will the percentage of his paycheck will the husband have to pay for alimony if they get divroced in MN? Also would the house get spit 50/50?
