Should i be mad?

Ok my parents got divorced when i was still really young and me and my brother have always lived with my mom. were 16 and 17 now. my dad has only recently made an effort to be in our lives and has only paid child support the last couple years. my dad owns a small plumbing business.

our house burnt down this spring and were building a new one. its been really tight on money and winter is almost here and we still arent in the house. do you think that my dad should plumb the house for free if my mom already bought the supplies?

Don't count on it. If you Dad has not shown any compasion for you or love enough to keep in contact in the past, it is not likely that he will do anything.
As far as being mad--,you have all the right to be hurt, but staying mad is not the answer. You can forgive him, but the hurt will still be there. If he is having a change of heart after all this time, accept it. He should ask for forgiveness. and try to help out, but again don't count on it.
