My Massey-Harris-Ferguson F-40

The P.T.O. has no power, and is turning too slow. It seems to slip and won't turn my bushog as good as it once did. What is wrong and how can I correct this problem. I'm an a.s.e. certified diesel mechanic, and am able to do the work.
THANKS!

It could be the gear teeth are worn out inside the rear, end , and a bearing could be out , causing the shaft to slip , id pull the rear end , and check the race, and shaft, if it , is worn replace it before it cocks up , and busts the rear gear!
