Massey Ferguson 165 Diesel (1980?) tractor

I recently inherited my father's Massey Ferguson 165 Diesel tractor that he purchased new in about 1980. While driving it yesterday, I noticed that the clutch did not seem to be working properly. It had usually had quite a bit of resistance when engaging it, but now it has very little. It also made a "screaching" sound when I pressed on it. Can you tell me what the problem might be? Thanks.

Well your clutch my need adjusting up , and then your clutch plates and throw out bearings may be worn out, sounds like the plates are togather, and into metal against metal , their is fiber on the plates , and when they get worn they are like brake pads, they get down to the metal , and make a noise,
