Who pays for certain required personal protective equipment

An employer is requiring employees to wear steel toed boots for certain positions. Who is required to pay for this? Where do I find the law language for this?

Payment for required protective equipment or clothing is entirely up to the company policies. Each company has different policies. That is why, if your company requires you to purchase special equipment and doesn't reimburse you for it, you can take a "business expense" deduction on your income tax for those expenses.
