I have a wireless router, but cannot get internet on Wii. Is everything built into the Wii? Everytime I try, Error Code 051030 comes up.

Asked Best Buy.....they said it should work without any other purchases.

A wireless router is designed to provide wireless Internet connectivity or communication between computers in your own home or business if they all have wireless cards. But to have Internet connectivity, you need some type of Internet service that is provided by a service provider like cable or telephone Internet connectivity which is also connected to your router. Routers themselves do not connect to the Internet for you.

In some cases, wireless routers can communicate with other wireless routers in your area that are not secured if those other routers are themselves connected to the Internet with cable or telephone. If you "steal" Internet service this way by using someone else's wireless capability, you can be prosecuted as a criminal.
