By law you are intitled to take your luch and if you choose to dose while on your lunch hour that is your choice my husband takes what he calls a catnap for ten minutes before returning to work from his luch hour. In some states if you are the only one working they can under Emg reasons ask you to only take a break but that is rare and if your working at walmart I do not see where that would apply. It sounds like to me your boss is just using that for an excuse. Have you been having any issues with your boss? I would call the labor board and get an attorney It sounds like you could have a good case.

Suspended from Walmart for taking a lunch.
I am an asst. Manager at Walmart and have been with the company for 13 years, I am currently an overnight assistant and have been for three months. I work 7pm-730am I was just suspended by my manager for taking a one hour lunch in the office and taking a nap in which I thought I was on my time and could do so. He stated that because I am the only manager there that I should take a working lunch (eat and run) in which he never told me I couldn't take a lunch. Can he do this?
