Does it bother an newborn to be tickeld in his ribs?

I think it does and my husband doesn't and continues to tickle our 6 day old baby.

Tickling, while it makes us laugh is actually a primative touch response that helped protect us years and years ago. If an infant cries, it bugs them if they don't then they are ok. Kids like this kind of attention. Just remember to be respectful and responsive to the babies reaction. Especially at 6 days old they don't have much in the way of communication skills, so a little tickling is ok - let dad enjoy the little one too!
