Why iss my car over heating?

I have a 1994 pontiac bonneville. It over heats. I've had the thermastat changed,oil changed.I'm told it needs an tune-up. Please help.

Have you drained your raditor , if you havent it wont hurtn to drain it and use a good raidtor flush from the parts store , it being a 1994 model , its got a lot of gunk in it , and will do it good to do this, if you cant afford coolant to go back in it , run it for a day or two witrh water, then drain this , and then fill with a 50/50 mix
