How do u program the tv to channel 3

The tv always was used with the satilight. i just brought it from someone and tried to get cable hooked up 2 it. the cable man could not program channel 3. all the other channels he could.so the cable will not work on the tv, what r we doing wrong.

Usually the in source comes in on channel 3. maybe there is a setting off somewhere
