The father of my daughter wants to sign over his rights to her, where do we go from here?

He has decided he wants to give up his rights to her, but we don't know what to do legally as the next step

He cannot just sigh over his rights,unless you let him. All states are different and alot of times men think they can sign over their rights just not to pay child support. The courts are getting wise to this and so making it harder to let them. You might want to consider how you feel about this, can you afford to raise the child without any support from the father and even more imporant do you want to raise your son not allowing him to know his father. Does the father know once this is done he can't just turn back the pages and reverse it. He may one day want to know his son. Think about how this will effect all of you. The child has the right to know his or her parents. It is not his or her fault that they are being bought into this world.
