Does it bother an newborn to be tickeld in his ribs?

I think it does and my husband doesn't and continues to tickle our 6 day old baby.

Keep in mind that babies are not little adults. Their nervous system is still developing, so what we consider to be ticklish may not feel the same to them, and since they can't tell you you need to watch how they respond. Is it a light tickling, like with a feather or is it with the fingers with pressure? You must also consider that any pressure applied to a babys ribs could damage internal organs as their ribs are not fully developed either, but more like cartilage as ossification has not completely occured. In other words, I feel that 6 days old is too little to tickle. Susu
