What happened here

Am a bit confused, i had my baby on the 22nd march 2007. my last mentruation was on 14th july 2006. around the 14 th august 2006 i had slight stains and no mensturation. doctor said i had symptoms of abortion. that means i had like a month pregnant since my last period was only the month before. i dont understand why my baby was born march 22nd. could it be that i had my menstruation during my first month of pregnancy. could this be? am worried cause that might really throw my off as to know who is my baby's daddy.

Anywhere from 36-40 weeks is considered full term which loosely translates into 9-10 months. That being said, it is possible to have a period during pregnancy, although very rare. There is also something called implantation bleeding, which is like a scant, light period. The only way to ascertain if you had an abortion would have been for your doctor to have done hCG levels after that pregnancy. What other symptoms did you have that lead him to say you had symptoms of an abortion? Were you cramping heavily, or had heavy bleeding prior to the slight stains? If not, that doesn't make sense. Either way, you are going to most likely have to have a paternity test. It would have been helpful to know the weight and length of the baby because that can say alot about approximate gestational age at birth. This would only be a guess however, as some babies are naturally small at 40 weeks and some babies can be farly large at 35-36 weeks. Good luck. Susu
