You should see a doctor. There are many things that can cause the pain and numbness. Your doctor will take medical history on you and may order tests or you may be referred to a neurologist. You did not state whether you have any other symtoms, what type of work you do, i.e. why are you standing for long periods of time, how long this has been going on, if you have had any accidents, or if you had an injury to that side of your body. It could be something as simple as you received an injection in your hip on that side and they hit a nerve. Only your doctor will be able to ascertain what is going on after careful review of your medical and family history, and test results. If someone tries to tell you that it is this or that because of someone they knew with similar symptoms, don't listen to them, that is not a diagnosis. Again only a qualified medical professional can truly answer your question. Susu
