You didn't state if you have puffiness and/or dark circles. MAC is a temporary fix at best, and works for about 50% of the general population. And at $30 a tube is it worth it? Lets look at the dynamics of MAC. It's active ingredient is caffeine which is a vasodilator. Think about people who swear they need their coffee or coke first thing in the morning. Caffeine enlarges the blood vessels therefore increasing blood flow. This is also why it is good for headaches.
Depending on what your chief complaint is. Below are possible problems with solutions that I recently posted.

Are you suffering from nasal congestion by chance? When your nose is congested, veins that usually drain from your eyes into your nose become dilated and therefore darker. Another cause is swelling during sleep. When you lie down, gravity can cause fluid to collect in your lower eyelids. This swelling may create the appearance of shadows below your eyes. In addition, dark circles can result from chronic skin conditions, such as atopic eczema. Dark circles can also be hereditary.
To reduce swelling you can use any product with alum, or even hemorrhoid creams, make sure it's not petroleum based, or creams with Vitamin C and/or K, or alphahydroxy cream. Retinol sometimes works but you must be careful with sun exposure.
