Child support adjustment

My ex is trying to get more money out of me. The facts are that both of us have re married. My ex re married to someone who makes a very nice living that has allowed her to work part time or not at all if she chooses. My current wife and I work full time because we have to. My ex claims that the courts will NOT look at her husbands or my wife's income, but will base it on hers and mine alone. My income would be larger than hers but if my wife and her husbands income were used, they would make far more money. My ex and her husband have a home, a time share in the tropics, boats, a pool...far from in need or extra child support. My wife's covers my sons medical and dental care as well. My ex also claimes our son on her taxes every year. She used to work full time and cut back because she wanted to not because she was made to by her employer. We live in Maine and I have searched for information but nothing address this issue directly.

She can file a motion to modifly the orignal child support order, just as you can. However she is right they will only go on your incom to determine if you amke enought to increase the child support and they won't even look at your ex's incom either. You can ask the judge that you feel that your paying all that you can. Just because she ask does not mean she will recieve.
