My van will start but wont stay running
I have a 1989 gmc safari and i can start it but it will not stay running, i changed the coli, cap an rotor, an checked the fuel pump but all of that only stopped the check engine light from coming on and stopped the backfiring, but i still cannot get it to stay running please help me and tell me what is wrong.....

I have a 98 chevy 1500 z71 with a 5.7 it ran fine yesterday but i went out this morning to start in and it wont. it is cranking over and it is wanting to start. its catching everyonce in a while but wont stay running....
