Removing fake nails

Help! I am tired of retyping everything! I got fake nails for son's wedding, 1st time ever, they were beautiful, but I work for a living & try to type answers on webanswers, & it is time they go. I really do not want to send more money getting them off, spent enough getting them on. I am afraid to try & take them off & get 3 off & stuck with 7 still on. Can I snip them & file them? Help!

I did get them off, I tried soaking & use a nail file & pried them off, & as u said , it took almost 3 months for my nails underneath to heal.
This is late answer, but this is chosen cuz it is basically what I did

Yellow nails

How can I stop my nails from turning yellow? I dont smoke and I like french manicures. They usually turn yellow after a week or so.
