Pregnancy after hernia surgery

Will pregnancy be risky if you have had hernia surgery before. It has been a year since the surgery. I also had displaced recti muscles repair Will I experience complications if I become pregnant

You could, especially if you get constipated, but it would be pretty rare. You would really have to strain ALOT to tear it back open after a year. If you have had abdominal hernia repair, just discuss this with your OB/Gyn that you are concerned about pushing during labor. Most likely they will assure you that lots of people have babies after hernia repairs with little or no complications. It really depends upon how weak those muscles are. Good luck, Susu
