First no they cannot take child support from you wifes incom. But the court can order you to pay child support even without a job they will tell you to get one. If you don't get a job and pay you will just be building up payments in the rears and if that happens they can issue a warrant for your arrest for non support you could also lose your drivers licence and your wages would be garnished after you get a job. One thing you need to know is if you and your wife file taxes jointly then the state can take the incom tax thay dont seperate her incom from yours. She would need to file single in order for the state not to touch her money. They will consider that fo awhile.
