Tri hulled boats

I have noticed a model of boat that has a triple hull design.
Different mfg make this particular boat, including Blue Water.

Is this a safe and stable design for a novice boater?

They usually have both OB and IB motor options and are about
15-18' long.

I use to have a modified tri hull and it was fantasticaly stable excellent shallow water runner and excellent in rough water in short i liked it
