Can everyone be forgiven?

So I hear always that God forgives all. What about murder, molest, and rape? If faced with it, no one wants to go to hell and will definitly ask to go to heaven, sincerly want to be forgiven. Does that mean you can murder and rape your whole life, get caught, then get scared and pray for forgivness? Like if you are sentenced to death and have the time to think about what you have done, chances are you will start to worry about your eternal life after you die. Does that mean we will share heaven with lifetime sinners? If God forgives all, why do we worry about living right if we can join in and get out at any time? And I don't mean thoughtless acts then prayer, I mean if we are faced with death like terminal disease, prison, or even in accidents, if we have time to think about it we will sincerly want forgiveness no matter how bad we lived our lives or what kind of people we are. So God forgives us, and we go to heaven? A lifetime of sins canceled out in one terrified prayer? Please don't get me wrong I pray and I attend church also, this is just something I have been thinking about for a while.

God has called us. The Bible tells us clearly He has called us. Who are called? Those who will hear His voice and follow Him. If you hear His voice, you stop doing what is wrong. A desire is born in you to do what is right. You follow Him. You know how to follow Him be reading the Word of God, which is Holy Spirit inspired. The Spirit also lives within you, so you have the desire to do good. And those who do not hear His voice, who do not want to hear His voice, will go to hell. And if you turn away from Him, were you really following Him, or was it just a craze? Look at the two men on the cross. Ons heard what Jesus said and was saved at the last minute. The other one was not interested.
