How do I get rid of dogs fleas

I have given him a bath in flea soap and sprayed him.
I think that we get rid of them adn he goes outside and picks them back up out of the yard, at this time of year.
Is there somehting that we can put in the yard to kill the fleas?

Ortho has great products for flea infestation. There is also a website grandmashomeremedies.com/fleas that gives natural remedies to the problem. I live in South Texas, and as far as flea medication that works for my two dogs, K-9 Advantix works the best.
