Unemployment benefits

Can I be liable to repay unemployment benefits; after I have been
received them for 6 months on state approval and not contested by
the job until after the 6 months and my getting another job

Then no, you don't have to repay any unemployment benefits.

But... You do have to pay taxes on these like they were normal income. Just keep that in mind come tax time.
