Oh yeah. I used to watch the program. Later in life, I did have horses, and quickly learned that they in no way identify with human concepts as the shows used to imply. I still liked having horses and put a lot of time into them.

My sisters did. I've never read it, though I have seen the movie.

I enjoyed Black Beauty, but I didn't fall in love with it. I fell in love with The Black Stallion series. I read all of them, many, many times each. My husband's favorites were the dog books by Jim Kjelgaard. Those books just touched our hearts in a special way. I hope that if you have children, you pass this love of books on to them by reading to them, a lot!
