I don't know that there is any difference. I think the artist's who write and sing their own material pour their hearts into their music regardless of the decade. Those who rely on other's to write their music and have top 40's hits are probably just the same as the bunch that did it in the 70's.

The difference is the evolution of Rock. Everything is constantly in flux, even our ROCK. Instruments change, styles change, sound even changes to some extent. I call it the evolution of ROCK!

Yes, its the evolution of Rock. Thanks for understanding the "EVOLUTION OF ROCK". I coined that term, and I might wanna get a trade mark on it.
