This is probably your electric fuel pump building up pressure , it could be loosing pressure when it sits for a period or time or maybe you fuel pump is just getting louder form ware and will need to be replace soon , you might wont to have this checked out at your dealer , before it gives you a problem

When you turn the key on the noise is coming from the front of the vehicle, somewhere in the dash area?

It is probably the fuel pump replay working to build up gas pressure for the fuel injector system , if your car is running ok and no check engin light is coming on , its nothing to worry about they do that when they get a lil age on them , if it worries you take it to the dealer
