Can you explain what 4x2 is please. I would also like to understand what high low means. If I kind of understans 4x2 is the way a normal older car or truck operaters. Kind of like rear wheel drive? Thank you for your time.
Right now the 4 wheeling ger shift is sitting at position 2H. Do We Put both gear shifts in neutral before locking the hubs. and then what position do we put the 4wd gear shift in for it to be in the proper position? There are 3 positions 2H 4H and 4L . When we Park the Truck do we have to take it out of 4wd or can we leave it in it until we no longer need it? Thanks a Ton
4x2 means 4 wheels, two driven. The rear wheels. 2H means two wheel drive in high range. You in range all time, with hubs out. 4H means 4x4 in high range. 4 wheels pulling. 4L means 4x4 in low range. Low range is super slow. Like going up a very steep hill. Slow, but more power. High range is like going a mud road, you a little traction. You go in4H.
With the truck parked, running or not, turn the center selector ( located center on both of the front wheel hubs) clockwise until it stops, now with the truck running(brake applied) place the column shifter into Neutral then place the floor shifter into 4H or 4L depending on terrain , it is not recomended to run 4L over 15mph , after 4 wheeling you can reverse procedure to return to 4x2
First you have to engage the locking hubs, on the wheel hubs, then put it in neutral, then into 4 low.
