This A/C compressor belt has to be removed before you can take off the alternator belt. You must get to the A/C belt tensioner pulley from under the car. The tensioner pulley is between the crankshaft pulley and the A/C compressor pulley. You may have to remove the splash guard for access. To release the A/Cbelt loosen the center tensioner pulley nut a few turns - Directly below the center of the tensioner pulley is the A/C belt adjusting bolt - rotate this bolt until the belt becomes loose and the pulley moves upwards in direction- now remove the A/C belt. Before removing the alternator belt make note of how the belt goes over and under all 5 pulleys-
To remove the alternator belt loosen the top alternator thru bolt- loosen the lower alternator attaching bolts- turn the bolt at top front of the alternator this is the belt adjusting bolt. - loosen bolt in a clock wise direction- push alternator in towards engine- remove belt.- reverse procedure to install.
