A question on a sale for an auto

The person we bought it from went out of town and we paid him to a different address and then didnt want to turn title over the car...and so we filed for a lost title and after two years of paying him...he wants to say we owe more r ddidnt pay him everything...how long is the limitations...for hime to come back for that.

You need to refer back to you contract you had with him and the payment plan you set up with him
if you made one , hopefully you did have a contract with him and have canceled checks of payments, maybe you can reason with him and reach some kind of agreement with out paying and attornet and going to court, weight out the cost and time / worry of that to the amount he wants to give you the title

From the day day u dont make payment until he repos the car. There is no limitations on when he cant get it. It is NOT UR CAR untill paid in full.
