Before you do anything , Check the Downshift linkage ! this is a rod that runs from
the carburetor/fuel injection to the transmission.
Its job is to ingage passing gear , if this rod is out of place , it may cause your problem.
could have gotten knocked out of place during the tuneup
P/S a vacuum line loose at the transmission could also do this(to the modulator valve)
I would check the kickdown linkage adjustment and the vacuum modulator first. Are you sure the tranny is upshifting when you floor it and not downshifting?

If the kickdown linkage is not the same as the downshift linkage then I connected one or the other...will drive in the morning and let you ...also great help thanks...
