Arkansas repossession laws

I am a law enforcement officer and I recenlty had a run in with a "repo-man" My wife apparently got behind on her car payment and I did not know.

My question is I noticed the three "Repo-men" at my car which has been paid off for over a year attempting to get into it. I did not know who they were and went outside armed to confront them. I identified myself as a cop and told them to get of my property. They then stated they were bank employees and told me thye needed to get what I thought was my car since that is the one they messing with. I told them if they were with the bank they could contact me Monday and I would be more that happy to talk to them but for today they needed to get of my property. They then went to the local police department and filed Felony aggravated assault charges on me because I had my servie weapon on me.
What advice can you give me if any?

As a law officer you can carry and show a gun any time. even out of service because under the law you must hold up the law at any time and stop a crime. . and you thought they were breaking into your car. RIGHT. so they can not do any thing to you. and they had no propose being there since the car was paid off. and you had no reason to think they were repo men. you thought they were thugs ripping your car off. they were in the wrong. and they can not get your car under any reason. here in ky if you caught them doing this . you shoot under our laws and find out later. they would not do this here. your home is your castle doctrin here in ky. and applys for any thing on your land. or that you own. so you were in the right . and you told them to wait till the bank opened. you were in the right.
