Auto sales tax

As a Canadian buying a vehicle in California, for for registration and licensing in Canada, am I required to pay California state sales tax?

Yes you are , any time you buy american , you have to pay for the taxs just like we do , unless you can show a tax exempt status, check with our gov, to see if you can obtain a tax exempt form , and what all it takes to do this, but i think you have to pay the tax!
